Projek Kalsom, a voluntary project by UK students who go to rural schools with the intention of motivating potential but underprivileged form four students, was revived this year with the hardwork of undergraduate Afiq Kadir (who happens to be my cousin) and Feizal Mohd Nor, an ex Kalsom facilitator.
It was organised by http://www.ukec.com(UKEC) and funded by Tengku Mahmud Ex Students Association (TMESA). It was held at SM Tengku Mahmud Besut.
It was a fun and rewarding event, which really inspired me, as well as many others. I was a faci in group 1 (Akademi Kalsom - the name was chosen by the students!) along with Aneesa, Nabihah, Zul and Ali.
Seeing the ex-facis who have braved Kalsom for so many times - Feizal, Rambo, Jun, Azam, Hafeiz, Biah, etc - was an eye opener. This definitely will not be my last Kalsom!
